ALBERT H. MYRES, Sr.
President and CEO
Albert has over 25 years’ extensive experience in the oil, gas, energy and power business as well as Government and Regulatory affairs and has directed these functions with several major corporations. His policy experience covers oil, gas, chemical, solar, wind, retail and wholesale power markets. Albert was a senior executive officer with Reliant Energy, RRI Energy, and Chief of Staff of Shell Oil Company. Following the sale of RRI Energy, Albert formed A Myres and Associates LLC, a Houston; Texas based consulting company offering expertise in energy policy, environmental stewardship and stakeholder engagement strategies. He joined OCTCET in 2012.
DAWID J. PIETERSE
Executive Vice-President, Research and Marketing
Dawid is responsible for marketing and advertising, visual engineering, internal communications, management information systems, testing protocols, data analysis, performance and efficiency improvement. He graduated from Primus University of Theology with Doctorate in Market Place Ministry. During his dynamic career he received several national and international awards for service excellence, specifically in the field of improving stakeholder and public relations, visual engineering, as well as image and identity development. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the SAPS and started his own consultancy in 1995. He served as chairman of various trade and industry, business development and representative organizations and was nominated as Centurion of the Year by the Centurion Business Forum. One of his companies also won the First National Bank Award for their outstanding contribution to Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment in 2008. Dawid managed multi-million dollar campaigns for various South African Government Departments and State Owned Enterprises related to various aspects of stakeholder and customer relations, event management, promotions, and other visual engineering and creative services.
LEON J. ELS
Executive Vice-President, Administration and Logistics
Leon is responsible for external communications, administration, practical efficiency tests, logistics, distribution, transportation and customer relations. He has extensive experience in client relations, strategy implementation, stakeholder and media relations, corporate social investment, crisis and corporate communications. Leon has managed accounts exceeding millions of dollars per annum for various South African State-Owned Enterprises. Leon was also executive manager of communications for South African Airways (SAA) as well as the Minister of Transport and was member of the task team that negotiated bilateral agreements with Thailand, Singapore and United Arab Emirates. Leon has specific experience in Crisis Management Systems and Emergency Response Plans and Business Continuity Planning.
